Greenville Set to Host 2013 Para-Cycling Open This Weekend

Representatives from U.S. Handcycling Federation; the United States Olympic Committee; Notus Sports; Greenville Health System; Invacare; Greenville County and the City of Greenville were joined this afternoon at CU-ICAR by Joe Berenyi, an American gold, silver and bronze medalist from the London Paralympic Games; Alex Zanardi, an Italian gold medalist from the London Paralympic Games; Hans-Peter Durst, a German silver medalist from the London Paralympic Games; and Aaron Trent, an American silver and bronze medalist from the 2009 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships and member of the Roger C. Peace Para-cycling Team, to kick off the 2013 Greenville Para-Cycling Open, which will take place this weekend at Millennium Campus in Greenville, S.C.
Greenville Selected to Host 2014 World Road Para-Cycling Championships

The world governing body of professional cycling Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) selected Greenville to host the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in September 2014. This event is projected to include more than 450 athletes and 200 coaches and staff from over 45 countries.
